College Football Playoff

Well folks the matchups are set!!! These have been your four teams all season long but it was always in what order were they going to be? Would we have a three-peat of Clemson vs Notre Dame? Could Texas A&M somehow sneak their way in? We quickly found out that the answer to those last two questions is No and I disagree with the decision of leaving out A&M. Texas A&M was a great team and going 8-1 in an all SEC schedule is very very tough to do the only team that did better was #1 ranked Alabama who beat A&M back in early October they should have been in over a 6 win Ohio State who in my opinion hasn't been playing well, this is why we need a 8 team playoff. I'm going to give game details and predictions for these matchups.

First game to get us started in the CFP Semifinal is Alabama vs Notre Dame for the Rose bowl taking place January 1st at 4pm EST at AT&T Stadium, Which was moved out of California due to rising Covid-19 cases in that area and not permitting family and fans at the game. Alabama opens up as a 17.5 point favorite and I think that would have been the opening line for any team playing Bama. Alabama is far and away the best team in these playoffs. Coach Saban has they boys rolling and right now they are a freight train so you better get off the tracks or be run over, ask every SEC team. Notre Dame is coming into this game suffering their first lose of the season in the ACC Championship to the 3rd ranked Clemson (who ND beat back in October with Trevor Lawrence out) that never took their foot off the gas pedal. Notre Dame was previously ranked 2 but that lost dropped them to 4 which i do not agree with. The committee just didn't want us to see Notre Dame vs Clemson for a third time. I believe that Notre Dame is a good team and the slogan of "Feels likes 88" is great but its not going to happen this year Alabama is just too good and better at every position. Alabama wins but does not cover 35-21.

The second game in the CFP Semifinal is Clemson taking on Ohio State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome at 8pm EST. Clemson opens up as -7.5 favorite and it should be more I mean did the Committee not see what Clemson did to Notre Dame???? Did they not watch Ohio State in the BIG10 Championship and how stale their offense is???????? I'm not going to turn this into a Ohio State doesn't belong here blog but I am, They needed a special ruling just to get them in their conference championship due to lack of games played, which is not their fault but they just haven't looked good the past three games. This game is going to open up close but Clemson is going to run away with it. Now if it were A&M instead of Ohio State I would be singing a different tune but they sadly got left out. Clemson is firing on all cylinders right now and looked great against Notre Dame hell they have looked great ever since Trevor came back from covid, speaking of Trevor Lawrence him and that offense look unstoppable once they get going and that defense has it figured out and ready to punch anybody in the mouth. In my opinion Clemson and Trevor Lawrence head to their 5th Championship game in 6 years with a 42-24 Win.
